Payment & Care Options

Transparent Pricing. Personalized Care. No Insurance Constraints.

The Nature of Health is a cash-based chiropractic and modern wellness clinic in Gilbert, Arizona. Our model allows us to focus on meaningful outcomes, unrushed appointments, and care plans designed around you — not dictated by insurance limitations.

Below you’ll find details about payment options, reimbursement documentation, and considerations for Medicare beneficiaries so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Our Financial Approach

Cash-Based Practice

We are a cash-based practice and do not bill insurance plans directly.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

This model allows us to:

  • Provide longer, unrushed appointments

  • Customize care without insurance-imposed visit caps or restrictions

  • Focus on clinical outcomes rather than reimbursement rules

Our patients value this approach because it keeps care decisions where they belong — between doctor and patient.

Superbills for Out-of-Network Reimbursement

While we do not bill insurance companies, we are happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) upon request.

A superbill may include:

  • Provider information and credentials

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI), when applicable

  • Dates of service

  • CPT procedure codes

  • ICD-10 diagnosis codes

  • Charges paid

Patients may submit this documentation directly to their insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Reimbursement policies vary by plan. We cannot guarantee coverage or payment.

Medicare Beneficiaries

Medicare provides very limited chiropractic coverage under federal regulations. Coverage is restricted to specific spinal manipulation services that meet defined medical necessity criteria. Maintenance and wellness care are not covered benefits.

The Nature of Health operates exclusively as a direct-pay clinic and does not submit claims to Medicare.

Services provided in our clinic are not billed to Medicare, and reimbursement should not be expected. Patients are financially responsible for services rendered.

If you have questions about how this may apply to your situation, we are happy to discuss your options prior to scheduling.

Good Faith Estimates

All services, appointment durations, and pricing are available on our online booking page.

In accordance with federal law, uninsured and self-pay patients may request a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled services. If you would like a formal estimate prior to your visit, please contact our office.

HSA and FSA Payments

In many cases, chiropractic services and certain wellness therapies may qualify for Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursement.

Eligibility is determined by your individual plan. We recommend confirming with your plan administrator.

Transparent Pricing

All services, appointment durations, and pricing are available on our online booking page so you can review options prior to scheduling.

If you have questions about which service is appropriate for your needs, our team is happy to guide you.

Memberships, Packages & Prepaid Services

If you enroll in a membership or prepay for services:

  • Payment terms will be clearly outlined in writing.

  • Unused services are subject to the terms of your membership agreement.

  • Refund policies are explained at the time of purchase.

Please ask if you would like a copy of our current membership terms.
